The 2009 edition covers 991 leading groups and 2,699 individual companies, classified according to their main lines of business as follows:
Table I: manufacturing, trading and service industries
Table II: holding enterprises
Table III: financial service companies
Table IV: leasing companies
Table V: factors and consumer finance companies
Tables VI, VII and VIII: banks
Tables IX, X and XI: insurance companies.

Selected balance sheet and profit and loss account figures for the years ended 31 December 2008 and 2007 are given for each company. A file providing information on high-growth firms, defined as companies with annual sales growth of at least 20% and earnings amounting to at least 4% of sales is available for downloading.

The paper-based survey is available free of charge.

Inclusion in this survey is a pre-requisite for consideration with regard to the Mediobanca prize for the most dynamic Italian companies.
